About the Sawyer Pardo Fellowship for LGBTQ+ Health
The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is excited to recruit a physician-fellow for the Sawyer Pardo Fellowship for LGBTQ+ Health.
The Sawyer Pardo Fellowship for LGBTQ+ Health aims to train physicians to provide high-quality healthcare for LGBTQ+ and gender-expansive individuals through clinical excellence and scholarship.
The clinical focus of the fellowship will be community primary-care based, LGBTQ+ care, with a scholarly focus on designing medical education curricula and conducting community-based participatory research.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree
Applicants must have completed residency in Family Medicine, Med-Peds, or Internal Medicine
Applicants are encouraged to apply while completing their final year of residency
Applicants must be planning a primary care career in academic and clinical medicine
Applicants must be a United States citizen or a lawful permanent US resident with a resident alien permit or green card. The fellowship is not able to sponsor J-1 or other visas

Salary and Benefits:
Fellows will be employed by the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and University of Cincinnati Physicians. Salary is paid at PGY-4 level unless the fellow has advanced standing due to their previous graduate medical education. Benefits and CME are included.
Fellows will receive the academic faculty title of Instructor, Department of Family and Community Medicine at the UC College of Medicine.

The educational strategy for the fellowship includes four components: Clinical Expertise, Research, Education, and Patient Advocacy. This model aims to develop comprehensive skills in healthcare provision that can be adapted by other institutions.
